As students of the Mining Engineering Department at Afyon Kocatepe University, we participated in the “Mining in Eskişehir: Potential and Evaluation Workshop” organized by the Eskişehir Provincial Representation of the Chamber of Mining Engineers of the Union of Turkish Chambers of Engineers and Architects (TMMOB) on November 29, 2025.
This important event addressed the potential of Eskişehir in the field of mining and how to utilize this potential most efficiently. Presentations by expert speakers discussed current developments in the sector, fostering an interactive dialogue among participants.
This organization provides our students with the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practical experience, network with industry professionals, and significantly contribute to their professional development.
We sincerely thank the esteemed professors and students of Eskişehir Osmangazi University (ESOGÜ) for inviting us and warmly welcoming us to the event. We also extend our gratitude to the entire organizing team for their efforts in making the workshop a success, and to Mr. Deniz Yıldırım, the Afyonkarahisar Provincial Representative of the Chamber of Mining Engineers of the Union of Turkish Chambers of Engineers of Architects and Engineers, for his support in enabling our participation.
We commend our students for their sense of responsibility and active participation as future mining engineers, and we hope that these efforts towards their professional development will be lasting.
