All faculty members, researchers, and students wishing to use the Mining Engineering Department Laboratories must successfully complete four online exams (a minimum score of 80 out of 100 is required on each exam; lower scores will result in retake) after completing the training presentations linked below. Access to the laboratories will not be permitted without obtaining the aforementioned Laboratory Safety Training certificate.
Additionally, to use the laboratories, written permission must be obtained from the Department Head by completing the LF-1 form, which can be found under the “Laboratory Forms” section on the Mining Engineering website or the “Forms” section on the Faculty of Engineering website.
All researchers using the department’s laboratory will be required to take an annual Occupational Health and Safety REFRESHER Training and pass an exam, and will receive a certificate upon successful completion. The refresher training link is below. Those who do not obtain the aforementioned Laboratory Safety Training certificate will not be allowed access to the laboratories.
